I attended the opening of Rose Advocates’ shelter for victims of violence in Payette, ID a couple of years ago. Senators Crapo and Risch both sent representatives. Risch’s participation was ironic in that he was blocking funding of the Violence Against Women Act that would help fund the shelter’s operation. At the same time, Crapo was working hard to pass the law.
This is not a Republican or Democrat issue. It’s a question of doing the right thing. Risch seems unable find that moral sweet spot. So, that’s why I’m supporting Nels Mitchell to be Idaho’s next Senator!
