The Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction race pits a hardworking, honest Jana Jones against a politician who has earned the public’s distrust.
Because of some calcified voting habits that are only in the beginning stages of shifting, the race is closer than it should be. But we can all make a big difference simply by voting.
We can give Idaho’s children the best step forward if everyone makes an informed vote Tuesday.
The Republican candidate, Sherri Ybarra, is a politician who has been a stranger to the truth, has ignored the public, and has shown no understanding of what the job entails. And, take it as a sign of her unwillingness to be open with the public that Ybarra declined to be interviewed by KBOI-TV2 in Boise.
Jana Jones has integrity and experience at every level of teaching and administration. She has earned the endorsement of every editorial board in the state.
